Hulu + Live TV:  It’s a unique option because a Hulu + Live TV subscription includes live TV streaming, as well as access to Hulu’s on-demand library. The service costs $64.99 per month and provides access to more than 75+ live channels including local networks and sports channels, 50 hours of cloud DVR storage, and streaming on up to two screens. 

You can watch the ad-supported version of Hulu + Live or pay $70.99 per month for its commercial-free option. Popular shows like “Shrill,” “Dopesick,” and “American Horror Story,” ,"Our Kind of People" are all here along with classics like “The Golden Girls” and “The Simpsons.”

fuboTV: FuboTV may be a great fit for cord-cutters who enjoy sports-oriented content. It ties for third place in our ratings of the Best Live TV Streaming Services and the Best Sports Streaming of 2022 Starting at $64.99 per month, fuboTV includes over 100 channels and offers ESPN, professional and college sports, along with NFL Network. It supports three simultaneous streams and includes 250 hours of cloud DVR space. If you need more options, for $33 per month fuboTV offers Latino Quarterly, which includes sports and other programming in Spanish.

There’s also fubo Extra which includes 1,000 hours of cloud DVR storage space and an unlimited amount of simultaneous streams for $79.99 a month. The service comes with a free seven-day trial.

Sling TV: Sling TV ties with fuboTV at No. 3 in our ratings of the Best Live TV Streaming Services of 2022. It has a free plan and two paid plans that can be customized based on your preferences. Sling Free lets you try out Sling TV content with no commitment and there’s no time limit on the free trial. Sling Orange and Sling Blue plans each start at $35 per month, with an option to bundle them both for $50 per month.

The channel lineup includes NFL Network, FOX News, BET, CNN, ESPN, and AMC, depending on the package you select. If you’re more interested in news and entertainment you can choose Sling Blue and start to build your package from there. If you like sports-focused and family content, you can choose Sling Orange and add-ons to personalize your plan. Sling TV comes with 50 hours of cloud DVR space.

Philo: Philo places fifth in our ratings and is one of the more affordable video streaming services. Starting at just $20 per month, the service includes 67 channels and an on-demand library. Sports fans won’t want to choose Philo as no sports are included in the package. However, Philo allows up to three simultaneous streams and provides access to channels such as Food Network, Discovery Channel, and TLC, as well as TV shows including “Southpark,” “Two and a Half Men,” and “Naked and Afraid.”

You won’t find much news in rotation on Philo, but its DVR space is unlimited. Available add-ons include Epix for $6 per month and STARZ for $9 per month. Philo includes a seven-day trial to test its service contract-free.

DirecTV Stream: AT&T merged its AT&T TV Now and AT&T TV services to form an on-demand and live TV streaming service in one. Its new service, DirecTV Stream, places sixth in the Best Live TV Streaming Services of 2022. DirecTV Stream starts at $69.99 for its base package and increases to $139.99 per month for its top-tier package. The base package includes entertainment, sports, family, and lifestyle programming whereas the higher packages include services like HBO Max, STARZ, and SHOWTIME. Alternatively, you can build your own package by choosing a base plan and paying for extras. For example, 20 hours of cloud DVR storage are included with the lowest plan, but there’s an option to upgrade to unlimited hours for an extra $10 a month. DirecTV Stream is contract-free, however certain offers may require a 12-month plan to receive the discounted service. AT&T also bundles its streaming service with AT&T internet for deeper savings
